Building a Pipeline for the Next Generation of Flooring Craftsmen
The flooring industry faces a real and growing labor shortage. FCEF’s answer is to build the infrastructure that didn’t exist: accredited flooring installation programs embedded in colleges, technical schools, and high schools across the country, connecting students to careers and the industry to the talent it needs.
What started as a single pilot program at Georgia Northwestern Technical College in 2022 has grown into a nationwide network spanning 18 states, with no signs of slowing down.

How We Build Programs
FCEF doesn’t just point to a school and wish them luck. We do the heavy lifting so programs can launch and succeed. Every partner institution receives:
- A proven, accredited curriculum covering carpet, hardwood, resilient, and tile installation
- Implementation guides and training documentation
- Donations of tools and materials for hands-on lab work
- Scholarships to reduce the cost barrier for students
- Marketing and recruitment support
- Instructor support and ongoing advisory resources
- Job placement support to connect graduates with employers
The result is a turnkey program that schools can launch with confidence, and that employers can trust.
